cPanel Anti-spam System
| Several months ago we installed an improved anti-spam and anti-virus filtering software on the server your on (eagle.unknowndns.net). You might have remembered quite a few emails coming in with [spam] tag lines which we fixed!
By now you should have noticed a large drop in junk mail by now; one of the important new features of the software is the fact that you can automatically whitelist email addresses by sending an email to that email address; as well as report spam to the system directly by sending an email from outlook. The system will trust people you send to – so don’t respond to spamers!
To report spam please forward the email to assp-spam@yourdomain To report a false-positives please forward the email to assp-notspam@yourdomain To add to whitelist please forward the email to assp-white@yourdomain To remove from the whitelist please forward the email to assp-notwhite@yourdomain
Its recommend that you use our SMTP server so you get full benefit of the new system. If your with an ISP who blocks port 25; you can use SMTP port 26 to relay mail though mail.yourdomain.
We have spent quite some time testing various anti-spam systems and ASSP was chosen for use on our cPanel/WHM reseller servers. You will notice a number of new options in cPanel under "Spam and Antivirus Protection"; most of this should be self-explanatory; but if you have any queries please contact our helpdesk via the Customer Portal.
